We are getting closer:)

So lately I felt really busy, or just trying to keep myself really busy so that I don't have time to think about the 3 weeks that I have left until Little Boy Pattee joins us. Yesterday Dakota had his last soccer game of the season and had a soccer party in the park afterwards:) He was so happy that he got to take home a trophy and is very proud of it in his room! On a sad note, he fed his fish to much food this week and Sparky & Bandaid went to heaven:( Dakota promised to not touch the food again so I told him we would get him two more fish because Kota & Johnny are a little lonely.

Dakota will start T-ball next week and is really excited for it:) There is not a whole lot of running involved in t-ball so maybe this will be his sport! He seems to hit the crap out of the ball both ways and loves to play in the yard so hopefully he loves practice. We were able to get him on the same team as Kenner so he is excited about that.

Sadi can almost talk as well as Dakota right now. She is for sure our little spit fire and full of energy. She has done great moving into the big girl bed, it is just the process of laying her down to sleep that is a little long so we are working on it:)

Nolan is still really busy with work, which is going really well for him. He just went on a work trip to Phenoix last week, but that should be his last trip now until the Baby comes so that will be nice.

Baby is doing great, I have weekly ultrasounds and weekly stress tests which I have passed with flying colors. He had a nice growth spurt around 31 weeks and they were thinking about letting me go at 38 weeks, but since has slowed down and so have I with growth so they have decided to keep him in until 39 weeks, June 15th!! So Sadi will turn 2 on the 12th and this little guy will join us soon after! And then on the 18th Nolan and I will be celebrating 5 years of marital bliss:) Hard to believe it will already be 5 years.

I am doing great, keeping myself busy with the kids. I feel a bit older now that I drive a mini van but it has been such a nice vehical with the kids that I soon got over that feeling:) But, hope to update soon, Papa Huinker celebrates his 50th Birthday next week on the 27th so be sure to wish his a Happy Birthday!! Take care and talk to ya'll soon:)

Oh yah, hope you enjoyed the pictures, there are more at

Its been a while since the last blog. We've experienced the worst winter in years...(pretty much a joke compared to Iowa weather though), and now we are experiencing the worst flooding in years. Someone's house floated down the interstate about 8 miles from our house yesterday!

Other than the rotten weather, the last two days its been absolutely beautiful down here. We have an amazing neighborhood of transplants from other states. Everyone is soo nice! Nolan is pretty satisfied as there is always someone that is ready to have a cold one with him after work! The kids have been enjoying Dakota's soccer games, practices, and playing with the neighborhood kids. I must say we are loving it down here!

Only 6 more weeks until the little man arrives....Can't wait! We have already have a couple neighbors arguing over who gets to watch the kids and baby sit for us...I must say that we are excited by the help! Very wonderful people in the neighborhood that all look out for one another! Love you all!

The Pattee Family!

Soccer season has started!!

Well, Nolan has his first official practice and had to coach to top it off:) Dakota had a blast and didn't want to leave. I made cookies for treats and everything went really well considering none of the boys have EVER played soccer. Now they have their first game already next week:)

New HOuse!

Yeah, we can't wait for our new house. We are starting to feel like the house hunting process was going to go on forever, but we found a happy ending to the search. We bought a beautiful house in Nolensville, TN, yes you read that correct!! Nolan thinkings it's a sign. But, we have 3 weeks till they close, in the meantime they are putting in a fence, replacing the carpet, finishing the toy-room upstairs and putting in another bathroom. We close on the 22 and will move into our new house with all of our belongings the week after Easter because we go on our cruise for Nolan's work the last week of March. Can't wait!!

Wow, were has the time gone!!

24 weeks prego!

Wow, it is hard to believe everything that has happened in our lives in the past two months. I first want to apologize about the blog not getting updated in forever!! In the December the week before Christmas we found out that Nolan was getting promoted to branch manager of the Nashville Tennesse Banker's Life & Casualty. How exciting, then they told us they wanted him to begin right away!! Ahhhhh!! Ok, we listed out house that week and flew for a short trip to check out the area and made it back for Christmas and new baby Will. Nolan started work already on January 4 and we were left back in Ankeny. While we hung back, we had lot's of house showings, made two trips, one to Postville and one to Avoca to say goodbyes. Dakota had his last day of Preschool, very sad day:( AND, we managed to go to the dentist and have perfect teeth:) I made it to all my doctors and got everything ready to transfer to TN.

We made the big move on Feb. 2 with my parents help. Nolan was in Vegas for work so my parents rode with us which made this trip go so fast. Sadi only had two outbursts at lasted maybe 20 minutes each. But the trip itself took about 12 1/2 hours and that was with 3 stops. Our townhome was not ready when we got there so we had to stay in a hotel that first nite with the kids and they were crazy from being cooped up in the car all day so you could about imagine!

We went with the realtor the next couple days and saw alot of homes, but nothing that I thought was worth showing Nolan. We ate downtown Nashville which only took about 20 minutes to get to and that was cool to see. My parents flew home on Saturday and we have been in our own little world every since.

Dakota starts soccer next week with 13 little boys who also have never played soccer and Nolan is an assistant coach and will heading practice next too!! And there first game is on March 13:) Dakota was pretty excited about his new ball, cleats, chin guards and socks:) Though Sadi enjoys kicking his ball around more then he does:)

We go to the library once a week for storytime which consists of songs, stories, and a craft at the end. Dakota and Sadi love and it is good to get them around other kids. I couldn't get Dakota back into spring pre-school because they were all full, but I did finally find a preschool for next fall that we are really happy about and they had just a couple openings left for Dakota's age group so I signed him and Sadi up for next fall already and I think Dakota is going to do some summer camps too!

We joined the YMCA, so we go there at least three times a week and Dakota gets to play in the play gym while a walk and Sadi gets to go in the nursery. They always leave happy and I always feel better after my walk.

After the first week of trying out doctors I have found a group that I am happy with, I will be delivery our little boy at Vanderbilt downtown. My OB office is in Brentwood which is really nice, and I only have one doctor who I like very much and my High Risk doc will be downtown and they will assist in my delivery if needed. But I see both of them every 2 weeks right now. So things are going really well, shots aren't hurting as bad, running out of skin to pitch because my belly is getting so tight, but the bruises are getting much smaller.

As for NOlan, he is a busy man that is really enjoying his new position as BOSS:) He has had some stressful moments don't get me wrong, but in the end he keeps letting me know how much he enjoys his new responsibilities and we are so very proud of him.

Our house somewhat sold!!! Yeah!!! We have excepted an offer pending the sale of their home and have another couple that put their house up for sale with hopes of selling theirs first so they can buy our home:) So things are looking good there. And we have put an offer on a house here, it is a short sale so the process could be a longer one, so we will see how that turns out!!

So lots of exciting news and I will promiss to keep the blog updated every couple weeks with photos and videos and the kids and our lives!! Miss you all and enjoy!
