Pattee Baby #4

Hey Everyone, we have exciting news that our family is growing:) We found out at the beginning of the new year and have kept this amazing secret long enough. Dakota, Sadi & Dalton are going to have a new baby sister or brother at the beginning of September!

Doctors are on top of everything, I have my OB, my High Risk OB, Hemo doc & Endo doc:) Keeps me busy and last nite we registered Dakota for Kindergarten:( We also had preschool conferences and he is doing fabulous:) Take care and we miss you all and will see you soon!

FEBRUARY

Well, I would say I am getting better:) Last time I promised to write every 2 weeks and didn't write for 3 months) This time it has only been 4 weeks:) Whoohoo!! Anyway, the kids are doing great:)

Dakota loves preschool right now. We got him signed up for spring soccer which he will be going to in Nolensville this time instead of through the YMCA since it is only 5 minutes away. It was a hard decision because he has some close buddies that he has played with the last 2 seasons but it was time to make the move. Almost forgot, Dakota got a haircut, a very short haircut that we may not revisit in the future!

Sadi is officially day trained:):):):) Couldn't be more proud of her, it took A LOT of accidents for her to realize that she didn't like to go pee in her pants but she did it and loves to put her Dora's on everyday (and her clothes for that matter, I can't touch her in the morning because she has to do it herself)! Such a big girl, we also got her signed up for preschool this fall, yes you already have to do it here because it fills up by February! So she will be going to preschool 3 morning a week this fall:)

Dalton is such a sweet sweet baby boy right now. He is such a lover, never cries, sleeps by the snap of your fingers, I sometimes wonder why:) He just is so relaxed and laid back, that could be the reason why he has no want to crawl, roll, pick himself up on things, etc. He is also what I would describe as the laziest of my 3 children:) Oh well, he will figure it out I am not worried:) OH yah, he has 2 bottom teeth!!

Nolan claims to have broken his foot even though the x-rays show no break, so the nurses felt bad for his and gave him a walking boot, so he is soaking up everything he can get from his injured foot:) But I love him and sometimes have to just smile and let him have his moment:) Work is going well for him, I can really tell he is enjoying what he does.

I am doing OK. I was diagnosed for hypothyroidism a couple of weeks ago which would explain my excessive hair loss, chills and constant tiredness. If it is not one thing it is another. I started medication immediately and can already see a change in my hair loss (thank god) and my chills are getting better. I don't know if there is ever going to be a day I am not tired, but I think that goes along with having 3 small children:) Enjoying life though, my kids and husband make me smile everyday.

Next post to come in a couple weeks (maybe it will only be 3 weeks this time:) Until then put it in your calendars that the kids and will be making the Iowa trip the end of march!! In Avoca March 18-21 and Postville 24-27, I would like to visit some friends too:) Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Luv you all, Brandi

Happy Happy New Year!!

Now these are going to be short and sweet posts due to the fact that I have things that I know I should be doing and first on my list is get my Christmas decor put away!! But thought I would give a quick update that Dakota WANTS to go back to pre-school tomorrow and I think that is because he is sick of to much mommy time:)

Sadi is wearing her monkey undies right now and has been for he last week:)

AND Dalton sat up this morning with no assistance from Mommy for a good minute before he reached for a toy that was a little to out of reach and toppled over:)

Yesterday we went to the movie Tangled with Dakota and Sadi and they literally ate popcorn the entire movie:)

Have a good one and I will be posting sooner then later, I know I say that every couple months but this a new year and I will be keeping them short and sweet!

Back to Tennessee ...

Well, we made the big trip back to Iowa to see family and friends and we had a blast! So great to see everyone!! We were so happy you all set aside things to see us and make time for us, the kids loved it! Dalton got to meet a whole lot of people for the first time and he has changed so much since you saw him last:(

We made the big 12 hour drive back home by ourselves but the kids did fabulous! We only stopped twice and made it home in 11 hrs. 45 min.!!!! Daddy flew the next day, he was able to get on an earlier flight so it was such a great time to have everyone back together:)

Dakota started pre-school on Monday. Sadi was quite sad, in fact she cryed because she wanted to go too! And for the next 10 minutes asked "where Tota go?"!! She loves her big brother. Dakota had lots of fun and go to bring his blue bear to his first day which made it even better!

Sadi started dance Friday and did ok in class until the end and started crying with 3 other little girls and they got kicked out of class because they were disrupting:( So we tried it again on Saturday and she loved it and her teachers so we switched to Saturday now, that way daddy can watch her too:)

We have visitors coming this weekend, Sarah and Dan come for a week starting friday so we are very excited for that!! But other then that keeping ourselves nice a busy!! Enjoy the pictures:)

Where has the time gone!!!

Wow, so let's just say that it has been a very long time since I have logged on and updated my blog. BUT, I am making it a personal goal to update with a quick entry every two weeks, starting this week:) OK, now that I have my apologies out of the way what have we been up to???

Well, on June 15, Dalton Jeffrey Pattee was born at 7 lbs 12 oz 21 inches long! He is perfect, black hair, big square face, butt chin, outtie belly button, huge feet and a super cute smile:) Everyday is does something new but for the last 5 nites he has slept from 8-9 pm till 6 am!!! Woo Hoo! He will be 2 months old next week so we are excited to see how big he has gotten because he sure feels huge:)

Sadi turned 2 on June 12, little brother was born and her whole world changed:( She has take the newest addition a little harder then we thought she would. She loves Dalton very much, but she is a little mad at mommy for not giving her the attention that she thinks she needs. So I lay with her for nap time and bedtime until she falls asleep otherwise her hawk eyes catch me trying to leave and she screams:( But, other then my time, she has been having a blast with all the company, playing with Dakota, etc. She started dance in two weeks, so she is super excited about that and has been wearing her little leotard around the house all over:)

Dakota has his last t-ball game this Saturday and uncle Kendal gets to see him play! It has been an interesting season watching a bunch of 4 year olds try and wrestle for the ball! But he starts soccer again for the fall season in 2 weeks and is excited to play with his buddy Kenner. Dakota starts pre-school in 3 weeks, he will be going 4 mornings a week which I think he is really going to enjoy (so will I, it is hard stuff trying to keep him entertained lately)! AND, he is counting down the days till we go home to Iowa to see all our family and all he talks about is doing chores:) Still a farmer at heart.

Nolan just stays busy busy busy! He goes to chicago and dallas in August so I am going to come home to Iowa for a little vacation with the kiddos while he is gone. It is hard stuff, but he really enjoys it.

I have been busy too with the kids. My pregnancy with Dalton was a little tougher on me then the past two c-sections. I had a longer surgery because they did a scar reconstruction ( cut off all my scar tissue on the inside of me and the outside) so that I would be able to possible have another baby some day. But in the end, I got a huge hematoma above the cut and it layed my up for the first week. I still have it, but it has gone down quite a bit in the past couple of weeks. Can't wait for it to be gone completely. Other then that, not two much excitement on my end, looking very forward to coming home for a little bit:)

Enjoy the pictures, there are alot more on my link below!!
